Master stylist
People have said to me my whole life, “Your parents are both artists…..you
must have artistic blood running through your veins!” …Well the truth is,
I’ve never been much of a painter or sculpture at all, or any type of
artist for that matter. But I definitely have a creative side to me, and I
think it was apparent as a teenager that my artistic niche was more in hair
design, make up and fashion.
I feel honored to say that the salon has been my home for 14 years. I started my career in 2008, apprenticing with the owner of what was then, L’Atelier Salon, for a few years before going out on my own and taking my own clients. I could not have been happier to leave beauty school and instantly be set up in such a beautiful space with an amazing family of stylists to help nurture my skills and inspire me everyday. I have continued my education by taking classes at Aveda, Di Pietro Todd, Vidal Sassoon, Candy Shaw Balayage Academy, DevaCurl, Kevin Murphy, Jane Iredale, Wella, ICON, and one of my personal favorite, Salt Society Foilayage & Balayage Classes. Continuing my education is very important to me and I make it a point to go to as many classes as I can.
I feel so lucky and excited to be a part of the Kinship family. To be in a surrounding where EVERY stylist has creativity flowing through their veins. Even the salon itself is such an inspiring environment because the space is so exquisite, bright and artistic. What more could I ask for?! I feel fortunate to say that not a day goes by where I don’t wake up excited and looking forward to seeing my clients and doing hair; I truly
love my work!
My goal as a stylist is to soak up as much knowledge as possible, continue my education, and become the best stylist that I can be. I want everyone who sits in my chair to feel well taken care of and well listened to. When I’m not at work I’m usually doing super cool stuff like reading a new book, doing Crossfit and generally staying active, traveling, and hanging out with friends and family. In April 2014 my husband and I welcomed our beautiful daughter, Cora to our home and in March 2017 we welcomed her little brother, Wyatt! I am thoroughly enjoying being a Mama and love how much I learn about myself by being a parent.
I met a salon owner down south whose words made an impact on me: “Your hair is a canvas, let me paint you a picture.”

Please allow 48 hours for rescheduling and cancellations. Any service cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours requires a full payment of the missed service before being allowed to reschedule again.

First of all, their receptionist is incredibly professional and kind. She answered all of of my questions and quieted all of my fears about having a salon that was unknown to me cut my hair and made me feel quite at ease. Upon entering the salon, I was greeted warmly and was offered some beautifully presented lemon water while I waited. My stylist, Laina Welsh, after finishing one of the most beautiful styles on her previous client and making her station absolutely spotless, came over and my wonderful experience began.
Laina is very well educated and her consultation was phenomenal. I came in thinking I was going to have just my usual trim, but through her personality and professionalism, I trusted my hair in her hands entirely. I'm not sure that I have ever had a more pleasant experience at a hair salon. Not only was the atmosphere beautiful, relaxing and clean, Laina gave me the best haircut I've ever received. I live in Texas and so wish I could be there to continue my hair's and my relationship with Laina and L'Atelier salon.
I wish there an option to give more stars than five because both Laina and the salon definitely deserve more."

"Here's the deal: I got sent to this place when it was clear I needed more than a $10 haircut. My housemate who worked there at the time, sent me to Laina, whom she figured would be the best fit for my hair and personality. That was almost three years ago. I go every four weeks. I book it out twice as long as that, because she's in high demand for good reason. She is generous, helpful, attentive, and she has your best interests and best cut for you in mind. The rest of the staff is service oriented, and will jump through hoops to make your visit as memorable as your haircut. You can't go wrong with Laina. Whether you know what you want or you don't know where to start, my money is on the fact that you'll leave happy with how you look."

Laina worked her miracle shampoo in my hair, and 2 hours later, I had my gorgeous brown hair back!

Thank goodness, this time I had the good fortune of coming into L'Atelier. Laina Welsh is fabulous! For the past two years she's been helping keep my hair good. She understands how little I like to do my hair and always gives me a cut that is easy to manage but still looks cute and sassy. She has introduced me to a few products I love but is never pushy with the sales. Overall, a great place to go!"

I am new to the area and am thankful to have found a salon that I love right away. They use green products which is a huge plus in my book. The salon is light and airy and although it is a very high end salon the energy was friendly and relaxed. The cucumber water is a nice touch and demonstrates the attention to small details that really enhance the experience. I am looking forward to the complimentary eyebrow shaping and tinting.
