From a very young age, hair has always been a fascination of mine. I grew up with three sisters so there was never a shortage of hair to do, dolls to makeover, and even the dog got her fair share of my styling attempts. I was obsessed with any movie or TV show that had a makeover or character transformation. Fast forward to the year 2000 when I had just graduated from UCSC with a degree in Women’s Studies.... it was then I was to decide— what is it I REALLY want to do?? I had been entertaining ideas about law school, nursing school, and beauty school. And when I really got down to it, my love of fashion and style seemed to override all of the other options. I enrolled at the infamous Wayne’s College of Beauty here in Santa Cruz and never looked back.

After getting my cosmetology license I moved to San Francisco and got a position as a cutting apprentice at the ultra hip Cowboys and Angels Salon. There I learned what I consider my essential foundation — classic Vidal Sassoon cutting techniques, modern Bumble & Bumble razor cuts, styling, and most importantly how to be with clients, listen to their needs and truly see them.


Alas, SF was not for me though... the chill lifestyle and beach vibes of Santa Cruz called me back... and now here and a small seaside Pueblo in Mexico is where I call home. You can find me during the summer and fall months in Santa Cruz- and then I spend winter in Mexico making frequent trips back up to Santa Cruz to see clients and family and friends. I’m so fortunate to live this life... doing what I love, where I love.

Back to hair... my style inspiration comes from the beach towns I live in- shaggy, natural, wavy, lived in with purpose, funky— all with a bohemian rocker edge. I love the look of sun drenched, sand swept locks. I love 70s hair, fashion and music. Think Robert Plant meets Goldie Hawn. But I also take cues from traveling to cities and adore the sophisticated precision cuts I see there. The glossy bobs. The rich saturated colors... truly, inspiration is everywhere and I have no doubt I can help you find yours. My specialties include balayage, color blending, razor and scissors cuts and men’s grooming, transformations and over all good vibes. Can’t wait to see you!

Please allow 48 hours for rescheduling and cancellations. Any service cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours requires a full payment of the missed service before being allowed to reschedule again.
